Extract pages from PDF documents without making separate files
A long PDF often contains more than you need to share. You might want the signed pages of an agreement, selected exercises from a workbook, or a few charts from a report. This extract PDF tool copies your chosen pages into one new document. The source file remains unchanged, so you can return to it whenever you need another selection.
Choose pages in two ways: enter a range such as 2-4, 8, or click the page thumbnails. Both controls describe the same selection. Selected pages are saved in their original document order, and overlapping ranges do not produce duplicate pages. The previews help you check the content rather than relying on page numbers alone.
Extraction is different from splitting. Extract PDF Pages gathers a selection into one file; Split PDF divides a document into several files, such as one file per chapter. If you need to assemble documents from different sources afterward, Combine PDF joins existing PDF files. Choose the operation that matches the result you actually need.
Your document is read locally using a PDF library, while page previews are drawn in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. The new PDF copies the original page content rather than screenshots, keeping text and graphics at their original page quality. Document-level bookmarks, signatures and interactive forms may not transfer reliably; review the saved file before sharing it.

How to extract PDF pages into one file
- 1
Choose one PDF from your device or drop it into the file area. Wait for the page count and thumbnail previews to appear.
- 2
Enter single page numbers and inclusive ranges separated by commas. Alternatively, click the thumbnails you want to include; click again to deselect a page.
- 3
Check the selected-page count and the preview selection. Select all or clear the selection if you want to start over.
- 4
Press Extract selected pages, then Download PDF. Open the saved document to confirm that only the intended pages are included, in their original order.
Practical features for selective PDF extraction
Visual page selection
Thumbnail previews show the actual pages, making it easier to identify charts, scanned forms and chapter boundaries without guessing which page number you need.
Flexible range entry
Mix ranges and individual pages in one field. Invalid numbers and backward ranges show an error instead of silently producing an unexpected file.
One combined result
All selected pages become a single PDF. Repeated page numbers are deduplicated, and the selection always follows the source document order.
Local processing
The source PDF, page previews and extracted document stay on your device. There is no account requirement or document upload to a processing service.
Original page content
Pages are copied rather than flattened into images. Existing text and page artwork remain usable, although document-wide features should be checked in your PDF reader.
When selected PDF pages are enough
- Share the relevant section of a meeting report without including unrelated discussion or appendices.
- Save selected practice pages from material you own for a smaller study document.
- Collect a few scanned receipts from a larger PDF into one expense attachment.
- Create a focused reference file containing the tables and diagrams you consult most often.
Frequently asked questions
How do I extract pages from PDF into one document?
Open your PDF, select pages by range or thumbnail, and press Extract selected pages. The download contains those pages together in one PDF, in source order.
How is extraction different from Split PDF?
Extraction makes one new PDF from selected pages. Split PDF creates separate PDFs for the ranges you choose, or a separate document for every page.
Are my documents sent to a server?
No. Reading the PDF, showing thumbnails and copying the selection all happen in your browser. Download the result to keep it after leaving the page.
Can I extract pages from an encrypted PDF?
This tool does not unlock password-protected documents. Use your authorized PDF reader to create an unencrypted copy first, then select the pages from that copy.
Does extraction remove information permanently?
It creates a new file and leaves your original untouched. Check the result carefully; extraction is not a secure redaction tool and does not guarantee removal of hidden metadata.
